These materials will help my students be able to travel to a different time and place through the aspect of reading. They deserve to have a class library where they can feel free to choose from many types of books. They also deserve to have the variety and abundance of books as a veteran teacher with a beginning teacher like me. I want to share the love and passion I have for these books with them. They will enjoy reading a series of chapter books such as “A Series of Unforunate Events” and the Judy Bloom series. I want to show these children how to get lost in a book and "go to" a place where they have never been. Everyone deserves this opportunity and I do not want for them to miss out. I believe learning to enjoy reading will shape these kiddos futures in a positive way and they will become successful learners.
