I have researched and selected chapter books that are perfect for third graders. This project is the Fifty Book Initiative. I introduce students to the first chapter of these great books and it is up to them to finish the story on their own. When they finish, they write a summary and get to put a star on their name as a reward. My students love the books, but always struggle getting the book in their hands. We would be so grateful to have multiple copies of these books readily available right in our room! The Fifty Book Initiative will fill my classroom library with exciting and heartwarming stories.
