This year has been tough for everyone, but especially for educators and their students. I hope we will all begin to experience some normalcy soon, especially in our classrooms. As a first year teacher, this year has taught me so much about students and instruction. Students have diverse learning needs, abilities, and preferences. And it is my job as a teacher to ensure that those needs are met on a daily basis. This cannot happen without the proper school supplies. That is why I chose this project through DonorsChoose. This project will allow me to better educate my students by using varied instruction and assignments. The supplies donated will give each student an equal opportunity to learn and understand concepts through hands-on activities. I was not able to fully supply my classroom when this school year began because I was not sure what exactly students needed. But now that I have more experience in the classroom, I understand what students' require for success; and I hope this project will help me help my students succeed.
