This bookshelf will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. The front of my classroom is where we hold most of our learning for the day (number talks, classroom discussions etc.) and my favorite part of the day is reading aloud to my sweet littles. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with care and students love being able to independently choose their favorite books and read with partners. With this new bookshelf, my students will be able to see a variety of different reading materials tailored to the content we are learning in our classroom. This will extend our learning and enrich the interests of all children for years to come. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students have shown me their desire to read independently and this new shelf will enhance their love for reading even more.
