Omicron variant is highly contagious. Our school district has a mandatory mask policy. I am seeing too many students wearing low quality masks that is helping spread the virus in congested classrooms. CDC has recommended replacing existing masks with high quality surgical or N95 masks. My school is a Title I school and students belong to low income families. Some cannot afford to buy these masks, and opt for low quality cloths masks or others that are highly ineffective against the omicron variant. I am requesting DonorsChoose to please help me provide masks so that more teachers are able to come to school and more students are protected against the virus, and continue their learning is a safe environment.
