We are a rural community where technology is outdated and obsolete. Kindergarten is the last to get any new technology...usually it is one of the upper grades hand me downs that ends up in our classroom. Living in the 21st century, technology is vital at all ages. In the past, we have borrowed, or I have brought in my personal ipad, in order to explore digital tools to publish writing. Students LOVE technology and will be engaged in the learning process. One project that the students will complete is to make a video of them telling about their favorite part of Kindergarten after they have completed a writing assignment on the same topic. The students will film, edit, and publish this video to be shown to parents at our Kindergarten Awards day.
