Having a Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten classroom can be full of energy. We are continuously moving and taking advantage of every moment in our classroom to learn and grown. So my question is, why not use their energy to grow academically and also emotionally? Flexible seating has shown that it improves students learning tremendously and also ensures that they feel at home when learning in their classroom. I would love to motivate their positive decisions by giving the opportunity to choose how they would like to learn and feel empowered by their own choices. Flexible seating helps students focus during lessons and it teaches independence. It has been one of my personal goals to use my classroom as a model and to inspire other teachers to offer flexible seating to our students no matter what grade they are.
