My students are in need of a human skeleton model and human torso model in order to study anatomy in the human body. My school currently has 1 skeleton and human body torso for all of the 7th and 8th grade teachers to use. We manage to share them between the three grades, but it is hard to give examples of the spine and skull without a model in the classroom. Anatomy models are wonderful scientific tools to use and my students would greatly appreciate the chance to use them to investigate. I would love to give my students the opportunity to see life from the most basic level and allow them to explore the world around them. Once my student are able to see examples of human organs and bones, they can then create wonderful projects using the knowledge they have gained. Coloring projects, posters, storybooks, are just a few wonderful projects that can be created. STEAM is tool that motivates, inspires, and promotes a students originality. By combining science and art a students creativity is endless.
