My students need these Kindles to provide them with additional ways to practice the reading and math skills they are working on. I have been at my current school for a year. The school I was at before had 30 iPads per grade. We were able to use these to help students ENHANCE their learning. In my classroom now I have 4 desktop computers that are totally unreliable and do not work properly. We don't have any headphones, so when the students listen to a story, it distracts others in the class. Having this technology will be very helpful for all my students, especially my ESL students who are learning a new language. I plan on using these for both math and reading. Students will be able to use the Kindles to practice their math fluency facts, through educational programs. During reading, students will use these to read books that I download. They will be able to find books that spark their interest and improve their reading skills. Students will be able to use Moby Max for both math and reading, Teach Your Monster to Read, Storyline Online, and so much more.
