Kindergarten students in the 21st century are surrounded by technology and interaction all day. The Letters Alive program taps into the mind of the modern day, school-age child by providing multi-sensory lessons on letters, blends, digraphs, words and sentences. When letter and word cards are placed under the Iprevo USB camera, they literally spring to life. The card for letter Gg displays Gerdy Giraffe not just on the screen but in a 3-D image that moves, makes noises and changes based on what word cards are placed beside her. Students actually interact with the animals and meet learning goals by moving the program's cards under the USB camera; reading and listening and learning as they participate in high interest lessons. Your donation will bring this advanced, augmented reality technology into a small, rural school where students are hungry to become readers but lack the phonics skills required upon entering kindergarten. Children are hearing, seeing ,touching, building, and speaking while enjoying a positive and engaging experience that increases proficiency and retention. I understand that this program is very costly, but in 26 years of teaching I have never seen a program as thorough, motivating and effective in teaching young children to read. I sincerely appreciate your support to bring the amazing Letters Alive program into my classroom. Thank you!
