My young students are just beginning their public education careers and are so inquisitive about the world. STEM activities are often overlooked in Kindergarten as we emphasize becoming early readers. The K'NEX, Magnet Building Tiles and "Gears! Gears! Gears!" Building Set materials will allow hands-on STEM learning! Students will become engineers and will use these materials to engage in STEM content through PLAY! My students will also have these materials available to do them during developmental centers (free choice/play) time. That way, they will have the choice and opportunity to develop a life-long love for STEM learning. All three materials will be used during literacy and math centers to create letters, retell stories, and develop fine motor and problem-solving skills. If students develop a love for learning at an early age, it will continue for a lifetime! Let's start the exploration in Kindergarten!
