I teach a technical education class where students learn how to be safe in workplace environments. Some students complete the assignments much faster than their peers. Students are always asking if they could read a book while they wait for the others to catch up. Who am I to argue with a child’s love of reading? Since I am not the traditional teacher to go to for books, my shelves are somewhat bare. I would like to have a small library with some current novels to keep my students engaged while I help those who have fallen behind. This list was given to me by the English teacher, so I trust it is good.
