Once my project is funded students will be able to use the STEM science stations to learn how to build homes, vehicles and bridges. The Design and Build Engineering center will allow them to design their own products and inventions. The Block STEM kit will give them an opportunity to to design and develop new inventions of their choice. The Block/Blueprints kit will help them understand the design process and further their critical thinking skills. These materials will allow my students to stretch their thinking and develop skills they need in our Science/Technology based world. They will discover abilities and strengths they didn't know they had. They will develop confidence, a new way of thinking and looking at objects. They will develop self respect, perseverance and self motivation even when they run into a challenge. They will learn to work well with others, communicate effectively with their peers and further their love for Science. Not only will my current students have these opportunities, but my future students as well.
