Students need a relaxing space for writing. During journal writing and other writing assignments, my students will have the opportunity to choose a place in the classroom for their writing instead of sitting at their uncomfortable desks. Currently, my students are having to work at their desks for an extended amount of time because my language arts classes are about 90 minutes long. Incorporating individual clipboards will provide my students with an alternative location for completing their writing assignments. Students will be more eager to to learn their if they enjoy being in the classroom and having a choice of where they complete their class work. The best part is that alternative seating will make their learning experience more comfortable as well as motivating them to learn.
