Task cards and board games allow students to practice ELA and Reading skills in a fun way. These items can be used by students in a small group. The game cards and task cards can also be the basis for a lesson's discussion or teaching point. My students are motivated by social opportunities within their lessons. These standards-based games will allow my students to practice the skills they are learning while having fun interacting with each other. This allows students to also practice social skills and gain life long conversational skills. While playing a board game in which students have to select from multiple choice answers, they increase their skills set while justifying their answer.
