Preschoolers do not learn best through worksheets and 'drill and kill.' They learn through play! It is very important as a teacher of four and five-year-olds to always have new and exciting things available for the children to explore. I feel that a light table is just that! With this, I can provide new science activities, where the children can explore light concepts, mirrors and light, Magnatiles, new math ideas, new literacy games, etc. I also would love to do art on a light table. There is so much learning and exploration that can occur with a light table. I can provide new experiences for the children and then scaffold their learning to new levels. The thought of what I could potentially do with a light table is very exciting.
