Four year olds are at a critical age where they are being separated from their parents, have to deal with "BIG KID" emotions that they don't necessarily have the words for, and we as a society ask them to function like little adults throughout a long school day. My job as their teacher is to show them how. PLAY is the answer. By allowing children to play through their day, they don't realize they are learning. Their bodies aren't able to sit for more than 7 minutes at a time. They are able to play as long as we will allow them to. Through fine motor activities they will strengthen the finger muscles to become strong writers. They will learn their ABC's, numbers, social skills, and numerous other skills while having fun, which will encourage academic success for the long run and their passion for learning.
