My students range in ability levels and so teaching in whole group is very challenging. Technology has changed so rapidly that my classroom computers cannot keep up. Our current computers have no sound and it makes learning impossible for them because many cannot read what is in front of them. My students rely on computer technology to help keep them engaged and eager to learn more. Technology has also made learning for students with autism much easier. They really are able to respond to computerized programs and are able to move themselves through most of the learning process without distractions. With new computers I will be able to allow my students to work at their own level and go as far as they possibly can.
