Rocket Books are reusable notebooks that the students are able to write their notes using easily accessible Frixion pens. When they are finished with their notes for the day they can easily upload the notes to their Google Drive. These reusable notebooks will double as both science and math notebooks These notebooks will allow my students to better retain the material because they are writing down their notes, drawing out graphs and data charts, making calculations and making notations during the lab or their math class. At the end of the lab or class the students will be able to upload their notes into their Google Drive to have access to them whenever they need them even though the Rocket Books will remain in the classroom. As middle school students often struggle with organizational skills and keeping up with their materials, this will make it easier for them to keep a written lab book while still having access to it electronically whenever they need it. (Typically we have kept our science and math notebooks in the classroom so that they are available for class.) Having Rocket Books will also reduce the clutter in the room because their notebooks will not take up as much room, which will leave more space for projects and activities.
