This year in ELA, 9th graders will be working tirelessly to futher develop their literacy skills. Research has shown that an increased in project based learning is directly connected to an increase in scholar understanding. The supplies in the project will enrich my ELA curriculum and will transform my classroom experience into a project based classroom. The supplies will also help make ELA more engaging and be more hands-on. By adding creative outlets, project based learning allows scholar to not only learn the content, but are able to work within the content. The colored pencils, markers, and sharpies will be used for projects. The pocket chart and folders will be used for organization. Lastly, the dictionaries and thesauruses will be used for language acquisition.
