As I get ready for the new school year, I am moving to teaching third grade for the first time and I need books that are appropriate for my incoming 3rd graders. As students grow as readers, they need to be surrounded by a different selection of books that not only satisfy their hunger for reading, but grab and hold their attention in a variety of stories. I am asking for books that are mainly on the 3rd grade reading level, trying to reach the majority of my students to help them grow as readers. Reading is key for student learning!
