Adding this listening center to my classroom with the books would help enhance the reading abilities of the children in my classroom. This project would provide a differentiated way of learning with each student in my classroom. Students would be given books on their level, helping them progress with his or her reading skills. It would be used as a literacy station during my English Language Arts block and the students would be in pairs or small groups while using this device. After listening to the books, the students would respond in their journals to various story element questions demonstrating their comprehension to a text. The funding of this project would be a tremendous help to the literacy environment I am creating in my classroom!
