I teach first grade in an urban charter school in Pennsylvania. Many of my students come from low-income families. We are a full-inclusion school with a high percentage of students with special needs. My first-graders are incredible kids. They come from all kinds of families and homes, have all sorts of interests, and their personalities are unique to each of them. However, many of them haven't yet figured out what makes them special. This is where you and Fred Rogers come in.
