As a new teacher, building a captivating library is crucial for the literacy development of my students. I have chosen books, A Story, A Story An African Tale, The Book Thief and James and the Giant Peach that are award winning, classic books, as well as newer books that are culturally relevant to my students lives. I want to make every effort possible to provide my students with a text rich environment. Fostering a love or reading is of upmost importance to me because when a child falls in love with books, they fall in love with learning. Literacy is also an avenue that allows students to get a better hold on language and expression. My students and I will appreciate and value every donation!
