The students have to take an End of Course Exam at the end of the year. They are required to use a certain type of calculator. In order to feel comfortable with them, I would like to have them for the students at the beginning of the year so that we can use them all year long to better prepare. They need to pass this exam in order to graduate high school. I want the students to be able to pass the first time, so they do not get discouraged from​ math, which is what happens when they feel defeated. I don’t want them to feel defeated, I want them to feel empowered.
