My students are starting 1st grade and they need a couple of items to help them become independent learners. Wiggle chairs and Bouncy Bands are items to help my students stay in their seats to be able to stay focused and to quietly do their work without too much distraction. Wiggle chairs are stools that students can sit at their desks on and it helps them not only with staying in their seats but it helps develop muscles while learning to sit still and it keeps them focused on their work. Bouncy Bands are attached to the front legs of their desks and they can bounce their feet on them. This also helps students stay focused on their work and helps them to sit still.
