It is always a joy to provide my student with the same opportunities as their peers. However, technology is not always funded for classrooms with special needs children. Most of the time I purchase items for my student such as printers, color ink, laminators, and velcro. Osmo is a hands-on learning device that has infinite opportunities for teachers and students. It provides students on the autism spectrum with lessons that are hands-on, interactive and engaging. It would also allow a student to engage with others in teams which can improve socialization/communication skills. Osmo lessons can be personized by a teacher or downloaded from the exchange. An iPad works with Osmo and can also be used as a communication device. There are several apps that can be downloaded for communication opportunities. The Osmo and iPad provided hands-on and engaging activities that are sure to bring multiple opportunities this school year.
