In my classroom choice is a big part of our day. The children make choices about where they would like to sit many times throughout the day. Maybe they will seat in a bean bag to read, comfy floor seats to read with a partner, or a flex space ball to read at a desk. In my class children are not given assigned seats. Instead they are free to choose a good spot where they would like to work. These alternative seating choices will make them feel comfortable and let them learn how to choose a good place to sit and work.

About my class
