We are a fifth grade class in a high poverty inner-city school. There aren't enough resources available to give these kids advantages other schools can provide. Our kids struggle to make ends meet and often can't afford resources like school uniforms. It is difficult for these kids to focus on academics when day to day living is a struggle. It is important that these kids have every opportunity for success and we strive to educate them as best we can so they can provide a better life for themselves in the future.

About my class
