We have 280 students that play on our playground every day. Our building was originally set up for a highschool so there was very little in the way of playground equipment for our K-8 students. We have a small climbing unit that accommodates our K-1 students but we need more opportunities for the 3-8 students. We have tetherball poles but no tetherballs, basketball hoops that need smaller sized basketballs for our K-4 students, and new jumpropes and footballs for all of them. The more we can give them to play with the less conflicts we will have because they haven't learned to play cooperatively on the playground, yet. We want to add the paddle ball games so our children can learn much needed hand/eye coordination and to learn to take turns with the paddles. Our future goals include a full playground with swings, slides, and monkey bars but for now we just need to have items to let them play together.
