The clipboards, white boards, math manipulatives, and seating options will help students participate more frequently and will increase student engagement. I have found that when students have concrete three-dimensional objects and fraction towers, they are more easily able to understand the concepts. I have also found that my students respond really well when there is more movement in the classroom. Clipboards will allow students to take their work to different parts of the classroom, whiteboards will allows students to write out their mathematical thinking, and flexible seating will allow students enjoy where they are sitting and keep them more engaged.
