Financial literacy is an important subject that students need to be aware of, not just for school but for life. Sadly, many students are not aware of how finances are used in the real world. Children need to understand finances in order to be successful adults. I would like to create a financial literacy center with a portable table and stools in my inclusion classes where students are able to play games, read about finances, and use real life scenarios to solve problems. Quizmo making change game will allow my students to solve daily math application problems involving money. Using their dry erase clipboards, students can easily work out their problems and share their answers. Right now, my students do not have concrete examples on how to use and save money in every day scenarios. Reading materials will allow me to discuss financial literacy outside my math block. Looking forward to a productive financial literacy center.
