This year I will be introducing flexible seating in my classroom and taking learning to a "new seat". Flexible seating has numerous benefits, including allowing students to have responsibility for their individual learning while keeping them energized throughout the day. By adding flexible options such as stability balls, wobble chairs, seat cushions, and stools it will allow students to become more engaged and focused while still being active without disrupting the overall learning environment. Kindergartners are just starting to learn how to become a successful student within the classroom and flexible seating is the "key" to success! My diverse group of eager minds would benefit greatly from being able to take a proactive approach to their learning.
