The beginning of our astronomy course goes into the history of the subject. What would be better than bringing history into the classroom to kickstart our lesson? That is where this Make Your Own Microscope Kit would come into play. The interactive activity will allow history to come to life! In this lesson children will explore the history of telescopes from Galileo to the Great Observatories as it relates to scientific and technological advances. Students will be able to connect with the past by diving into the minds of scientists by building the telescopes, allowing them to recreate their thought processes.
