These chairs will be used by students when they come to talk with me about anything that is weighing heavy on their minds. Students at the middle school level need a place that they can be themselves. Having comfortable seating is a great way to start making students feel safe. I want to help students develop into the best versions of themselves and having a warm, comfortable, and inviting space for them is one way I can reach that goal. If students are drawn to the space and the furniture in my office/classroom, they will be more likely to stop and visit, which in turn will lead to me helping more students.

About my class
