Our school holds "The 25 Book Challenge" in which all students are encouraged to read 25 different titles though out the school year. Students must do a book talk in class about each book They really love this and enjoy asking each other questions about the books. These books have been hand-picked by our school librarian and reading specialist! They are meant to entice reluctant readers and expose those who already love reading to some new titles. We will use all of these awesome books in our class. We will preview them by discussing what they are about. I can't wait to see which titles appeal to each child! Students will read them independently, do book talks, and learn to ask each other questions. We will use the easel paper pad for reading strategies on the books.
