My students have specific learning difficulties, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders (ADHD), which makes it difficult for them to be comfortable in the traditional hard plastic chairs and to focus. It is important that they have seating that is more comfortable so they can focus on their learning. My current chairs are old, the cushions are worn out and are becoming uncomfortable for the students. Children with ADHD benefit from having comfortable chairs and stools with cushions. Stools helps students focus who have Attention Deficit Disorder by engaging their core muscles when working on academic tasks. Research also, shows using core muscle strength improves student reading comprehension, attention to tasks and handwriting.
