This year I want to engage my students in writing by creating digital storybooks on Storybird. In teaching them communication skills, using technology will motivate my students to share ideas and will help pull reluctant writers out of their shell. Storybird offers a variety of graphics that encourage students to think, share and create the best digital storybook possible. It offers templates for every type of learner and encourages a variety of levels of writing. Students are naturally engaged in using technology to showcase their learning, and this provides me with the best environment to work with my students in small group. With 20 students in my class, these Lenovos will provide supplemental learning materials during centers. Being engaged with the technology provides motivation to work independently .
