Our school does not have a working color printer, and most of my students do not have a printer in their home. I want to be able to create colorful handouts, lab instructions and data sets, for my visual learners and learners with special needs. The color printer will benefit my students significantly. Many of the data sets we will be reviewing (such as the Geologic Time Scale or molecular bonding) are difficult to interpret in black and white hand outs. My students will also be working on a variety of in-class projects and presentations. Students will get to show off their creativity and will be able to access the color printer to create bright, eye-catching visuals for their presentations.
