When gathering together in a whole group setting at the carpet, students will be able to share ideas, listen attentively, and explain their reasoning with peers and our class family. We all learn better together. Giving my students a place to gather together for learning will contribute exponentially to their success during kindergarten. This specific carpet will give each student a place of their own and lend to better classroom behavior management with the fantastic grid design and perimeter "circle time" option as well. The alphabet along the perimeter is also an excellent tool when focusing on letters and sounds, a key foundational skill of kindergarten.
