I'm requesting these specific materials in order to create an environment which fosters risk- taking, confidence, and most importantly, engagement. If fully funded, my students will have autonomy in their learning experience. They can use their dry erase clipboards to express their thoughts and ideas during problem solving; they can work together in a small group using both easels in order to participate in collaborative learning. Students deserve a space where their thoughts and voices feel valued and listened to. I plan to engage in cross- discipline pedagogy through interactive read- alouds covering topics such as geometry and measurement. These will provide the stepping stones for class projects as well as incorporate Language- Arts into our math classroom. Thank you so much for all the support! My students are truly reasons why I get out of bed each morning, and will be so excited to have these materials.
