I am excited to see how literacy will impact so many teens this school year and for many years to come as my students jump into reading novels that can apply to their own lives! As students read themes about perseverance, the influence of technology, power, corruption and the responsibility of freedom, they will connect to powerful examples that these novels bring to life. My goal is for my students to learn real-world lessons from classic novels that they can apply not only in the classroom, but in their own their own world as teens and beyond. Join me in believing that literacy changes lives. Wee need class sets of the novels Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury and Animal Farm by George Orwell.

About my class
