As a teacher having access to the internet is huge, having a laptop to do research, to find games and activities to help students with gaps in their learning and keep them engaged in the lesson. For my social studies classes, pictures and charts can be easily displayed from the laptop to the projector. Students can explore maps and pictures of other people from all over the world with different cultures. My current computer in my classroom is outdated and a lot of the interactive attention grabbing curriculum just is not available to my students. Giving me access to a laptop will provide the class with access to internet based learning activities.
