Tablets and headphones will help my special needs students explore learning through technology. They are visual learners and technology will allow them to use reading and math applications to reinforce the curriculum. My amazing students can utilize tablets and headphones individually when learning in a whole group feels overwhelming. They will feel confident when completing class work and remain interested in our core subjects. Some of my students are accustomed to using tablets at home and expect this same technology to be present at school. Tablets in the classroom will offer a smoother transition in the classroom and link the educational setting to students’ home environment.
