These items (classroom decor and school supplies) will create a positive learning environment. I teach at a failing school in a lower socioeconomic area. I want the classroom environment to feel welcoming. We don't always know what our students are dealing with at home. Having a well-stocked, neat, and organized place for learning will help to provide them with the stability needed for learning to take place. My teaching philosophy is that we must attend to the needs of the whole child. Creating a warm space helps provide them with the warmth and support that our educational psychology classes teach us that they need.

About my class
