With the Makey Makey's we are going to be doing a STEM project where they will use them to create a communication device for a disabled person using their knowledge of wave energy and circuits. I would also have the students use these when were are doing motion and forces because they can have these act as readers for acceleration, velocity, and force that they then could set up with a computer to analyze real motion happening to them in real life. They would also help students learning about engineering and technology because they would be creating with these devices to learn about that side of science and engineering which is very interesting for students and real world applicable. These could also be a form of extending students that need even more rigor because it gives them control to creative and hands-on problem solvers which is such an important skill for my students to have as they plan to head into the real world.
