Having access to individual technology on a daily basis will help my students during their independent work time--they will be highly engaged in practicing their skills with digital resources. Additionally, we will be able to do all of our written work using the Google suite. Our curriculum demands written responses to their reading, research, and final performance projects which require production elements (slide show presentations, PSA's, etc), all of which can be done on their tablets and stored so it is easily accessible without the mess of paper. Using this technology will allow my students to interact with each other, help facilitate peer review, and streamline grading and feedback. In particular, the tablet I chose has a keyboard that allows my students practice with typing, which is a very valuable skill!
