The main focus of my classroom is English Language Arts. My students spend time getting lost in a variety of novels. During their readings, they complete character studies, comprehension exercises, and story element analysis. A majority of this work includes group discussions. The right setting will make this much easier. A group work table will allow the students to dig deep and communicate more effectively. Adding this table to my classroom will not just help reading, it will be an incredible tool during writing. As students attack each writing project there is a process. This table will serve as an essential tool during editing and writing workshops. This table will serve as a hub of activity every day. It will allow for genuine student exchanges and more focused work with me. Reading rotations will become more streamline with the addition of the table. Thank you for your time and consideration of adding this valuable resource to my classroom.
