I want to make my classroom a technology-driven classroom, but at the moment I’m dependent on 3 computers in my classroom. Students will complete a wide-variety of tasks to challenge and reinforce scientific and mathematical concepts. Laptops will work for the struggling students needing to go back to previous lessons to learn a skill, students on track and could benefit from more practice, and students that mastered current skills and need to be challenged. In addition to the applications, the students will be able to use laptops to look up information for research purposes for different classroom projects. I plan to use Google docs and Google classroom where students can work and turn in papers/ projects and get immediate feedback. This will give students the experience in researching a topic and formulating a paper/presentation which allows them to think for themselves. It will also increase their technological skills. This type of learning is preparing the students for the future. Any donations to this project will take learning to a whole new level by allowing children more access to technology with updated and working devices. Obtaining the laptops will give them access to a wide variety of learning applications that will allow further learning in the areas of science, mathematics and technology. The laptops will give students opportunities to participate in scientific interactive investigations, play skill games that reinforce topics, as well as research questions and ideas.
