As you know, most school districts have chosen to start their school years virtually. As I prepare myself to teach virtually, I think about some of the challenges I had when we left our classrooms in March and how I would like to make changes moving forward. One of the challenges I faced was not having picture books at hand to read to my students. Reading is one of my favorite parts of the day and I often found myself searching YouTube and finding other teachers reading books that I would play for my class. It is important for me to be able to read to my students and build that relationship and love of reading with them. These diverse, high-quality read aloud books will enhance our learning and allow us to have engaging conversations about those who are different from us. We
